A smile doesn’t stop at the teeth. Often we forget that our facial features frame our smiles. Features such as thin lips, lines and wrinkles can distract from the attractiveness of our smile.  We can treat these with anti wrinkle muscle relaxant injections, dermal fillers or sometimes a combination of both.

Muscle relaxants or anti wrinkle injections are used to prevent static wrinkles (permanent wrinkles) from forming and can work to soften the appearance of existing lines. Common areas treated include: frown lines, forehead lines, lines around the eyes (crows feet), perio-oral lines (smokers lines) and ‘bunny lines’ around the nose area.  These injections are also used to manage jaw joint disorders, pain from overuse of facial muscles e.g. grinding or bruxism as well as undesirable ‘gummy smiles’.

Certain areas of the face hollow or deficient in volume—whether from ageing or natural deficiency—can make us look tired and sunken. Typical areas are: lips, nasolabial folds, lines around the mouth (Marionette lines) and under eyes (tear troughs). Dermal fillers are a non-surgical option to rejuvenate and refill these areas.
