Why is Dental Technology Important?

The world of dental technology has changed significantly over the past few years and we want to ensure our patients benefit from recent innovations. We know by investing in top-quality technology, we can provide the best and most appropriate treatments more comfortably than ever before.

Our technologies include:

  • Intraoral camera
  • Digital dental x-rays
  • Rotary endodontics
  • Intra oral scanner

How Can an Intraoral Camera Help?

Have you ever found it hard to understand exactly what is wrong with your teeth? This is why we use an intraoral camera. It is a small camera that takes high quality images of the inside of your mouth and enables us to point out problems such as any failing restorations, cracked teeth and other areas of concern. Using these images, we can explain treatment options far more clearly and show you how your tooth has been restored once treatment is completed.

How can an intra oral scanner help me?

An intra oral scanner scans or captures 3D images of your teeth from which a variety of dental appliances e.g. crowns can be made. These images essentially substitute the traditional dental impressions and are a more comfortable alternative for people who find it difficult to cope with the traditional impressions, for example people who have a sensitive gag reflex. The digital scan allows for faster turnaround and communication with the dental laboratory as there’s no waiting for the impressions to be posted to the lab.

While For your safety, we have invested in the very latest digital dental x-ray machine that ensure low levels of radiation for the best quality images.

How Will Rotary Endodontics Help Me?

Rotary endodontics is the use of specialised tools during root canal treatment, enabling our dentists to achieve the very best results. These tools can clean out even severely curved root canals, ensuring all infection is removed and that treatment is a long-term success.Using rotary instruments also allows for more efficient treatment, reducing the amount of time you would need to spend in the chair.
